Access and Venues

Access

Victorian Opera is dedicated to improving access provision for all audience members. Every Victorian Opera mainstage production provides surtitles, and the following performances will be audio described by Vision Australia.

Audio Description - a key tool in enabling people who are blind or have low vision to access every part of the arts and entertainment world they choose.

Victorian Opera is dedicated to improving access provision for all audience members. See the calendar for nominated Audio Described performances – a live broadcast delivered throughout the performance via a discreet headset. We also offer tactile tours of the stage prior to these performances where those with a vision impairment can enhance their opera experience by ‘feeling’ the set and costumes.
