Composition with Victorian Opera
Building from the significant success of the Victorian Opera’s NOVA workshops (a program developing new opera) with Chamber Made Opera, we are extending this program to give secondary school aged young composers an opportunity to work with a professional composer. Participants will use analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding between the relationship between text, music and the stage and develop a broader knowledge of related repertoire.
Applicants are required to submit a handwritten melody of at least eight bars in length with their Registration Form.
VENUE: Horti Hall
DATES: Monday 1 – Friday 5 October
COST: $200 per participant
Suitable for secondary school aged composers or those new to composition and who wish to learn more.
