Trip to Jesi

Some of our new Master of Music (Opera Performance) students were lucky enough to study in Europe over the summer, thanks to the Italian Acclaim Opera Scholarship program. One of them – Nathan Lay – is appearing as Baron Douphol in our upcoming May production of La traviata, from Italian opera house Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini. He recently studied with the company in their home city of Jesi, and shares with us some photos from his trip.


Below is a picture of Jesi from a lookout point on the city wall. Obviously the town has expanded outside these walls... Apparently about 40,000 live here now!
