Education Up Front and Centre
In August and September 2010 Victorian Opera will present a series of vocal pedagogy workshops, led by singing teacher and former VCA Head of Voice, Anna Connolly. The workshops will examine the study and teaching of group and solo singing from the perspectives of both the teacher and the singer.
New Opera Finalists Announced
5 May 2010- Five works have been shortlisted for workshop in the brand new initiative New Opera Ventures Australia (NOVA), Victorian Opera and Chamber Made Opera's partnership to enable the creation and development of new Australian opera and music theatre.
Victorian Opera 2009 Annual Report Released
Victorians are passionate about their opera company; not only did audiences for mainstage and regional work increase by 46%, box office revenue grew by 39% and patronage by 29% from 2008. This support through box office and sponsorship enabled a net operating profit of $141,226 for 2009.

New Opera Ventures Australia
ChamberMade and Victorian Opera announce a New Opera Ventures Australia (NOVA), a new program that aims to commission, workshop and produce new Australian opera and music-theatre. NOVA is calling for scores, concepts and submissions to be considered for inclusion in a series of workshops in 2010.
