Rehearsals Commence for Ariadne auf Naxos
Rehearsals started on 15 June in Horti Hall for Victorian Opera's production of Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, which will be on at the Playhouse, Arts Centre 21-27 July 2009.
Introduced by Music Director Richard Gill was the large cast including Canadian tenor John Mac Master, Elizabeth Stannard, Jacqueline Dark & Ireni Utley; Grant Smith & Adrian McEniery; opera favourites Gary Rowley, Roxanne Hislop and Paul Biencourt (Rembrandt's Wife); and Samuel Dundas and Paul Hughes (Don Giovanni); and artists from the Developing Artist Program Melanie Adams, Jessica Aszodi, Jacob Caine and Anthony Mackey.
