Let's face it, Wagner's Parsifal is going to be a long night at the opera, albeit a glorious one. To help you through this operatic odyssey, we have scheduled a 90-minute dinner break after Act I. This gives you an opportunity to replenish yourself with a meal and perhaps a cheeky drink before returning to adventures of knights of the Holy Grail. Approximate timings are:

Wednesday 20 February 2019
4.30pm Performance, Dinner Break 6.15pm – 7.45pm
Friday 22 February 2019
4.30pm Performance, Dinner Break 6.15pm – 7.45pm
Sunday 24 February 2019
3pm Performance, Dinner Break 4.45pm – 6.15pm

We have put together a list of selected restaurants near the Palais Theatre where you can enjoy your meal and make it back to theatre for Act 2.

Don't forget it will be summer, which is a busy time of year in St Kilda, so it's best to book your table as soon as you have your tickets. When booking your table, please advise the restaurant that you are attending the opera at the Palais Theatre and that you will be on a strict time limit of 1 hour. This will give you 15 minutes to reach the restaurant, 1 hour to enjoy dinner and 15 minutes to return to your seat.
