Age when you started singing
I can't remember a time when I didn't sing.
Favourite opera or musical
My Favourite musical to listen to is Funny Girl, the film version, because of Streisand’s voice and composer, Jule Styne.
Favourite musical role to perform
Bat Boy. I loved playing the title role in my final year at WAAPA. A great role and show written by Laurence O’Keefe. Happily, since graduating I have performed in his other two popular musicals, Legally Blonde, and Heathers the Musical.
A fun fact not many people know about you
Up until a few years ago, I didn’t know how to write music. One day I sat at a piano and taught myself how to play. I imagined a cello doing a line here, then strings coming in there, and a year later, I had written a collection of songs that are now on my album ‘Here Today, Gone Tomorrow’, available anywhere you get music.
Where is the strangest place you're performed?
My Driveway. During the height of the 2020 Melbourne lockdown, I set up some speakers and performed for my neighbours while they sipped wine in their respective driveways and their kids danced in the street. It was beautiful.
