2 August – VOYCE Winter Concert
Victorian Opera’s Youth Chorus Ensemble (VOYCE) showcase their extraordinary talents in a winter concert to warm your heart. Hear the stars of tomorrow sing highlights from their training with Victorian Opera across 2019, under the musical direction Angus Grant.
9 August – Come to the Cabaret
Cameron Menzies unites some glimpses of cabaret: from the sleazy to the sublime, from Berlin and Paris, to London and New York. Enjoy an intimate evening of titillating revelation
16 August – La Serenata, Songmakers Australia
Unique in the musical landscape, Songmakers Australia brings together some of the country’s leading singers and instrumentalists in inspired programs that feature a dynamic interplay of song and chamber music. In this recital, soprano Merlyn Quaife AM and tenor Brenton Spiteri, together with pianist and Artistic Director Andrea Katz, explore the songs of opera composers Rossini, Dvořák, Puccini and Donizetti, together with less known repertoire by de Falla, Weill and Duparc, culminating with some operetta gems by Lehar and Kalman.

30 August – Nellie in Her Own Write
Hear the opinions and anecdotes of our own Nellie Melba, as well as some of her favourite repertoire. Melba Scholars, Sharolyn Kimmorley and Stephen McIntyre entertain with the life and music of our first Australian superstar.
THREE TALES - MUSIC WORKSHOP
Friday 20 and Saturday 21 September
Following an exclusive livestreamed preview in 2017, Victorian Opera invites you to witness the next stage of development of its upcoming commission Three Tales – a trio of new operas based on legendary French author Flaubert’s Trois Contes. Hear the completed works in their rawest form in an intimate concert ahead of a fully staged production in 2020.
Adapted by celebrated playwright Daniel Keene, each tale has been realised by three Australian composers: Stefan Cassomenos, Dermot Tutty and Zac Hurren.
