Victorian Opera’s Access All Areas: Livestream Program returns in 2027. This program provides Primary School students an exciting backstage pass to the opera.
In Term 2 2027, we are proud to present original Australian opera, called The Happy Prince, an exciting production specifically tailored to primary school-aged students. Filled with a hoard of musical magic, glimmering costumes and a sprinkle of theatrical magic, this classic, beautiful tale brings Oscar Wilde’s imagination to life.
Presented across four 25-minute workshops online, each workshop showcases a different aspect of staging an opera: the voice, design, technical production and the orchestra. Access All Areas concludes with watching The Happy Prince in theatre, streamed live and on demand. This program is supported by Education Resources with associated activities and a Visual Story.
There are three venues for schools to choose from to attend in-theatre as well as the online only option.
